The principle of GIVING and RECEIVING

– a principle of the human and Mother Earth/Pacha Mama

This principle is in the respiration (inspiration is RECEIVING – expiration is GIVING) which facilitates our survival. A lot of philosophical and psychological models often describe this, the GIVING and RECEIVING.

We consider that Mother Earth gives us our physical matter which we inhabit during a life-time for our experiences in destiny and which serves the development of our soul and to penetrate our BEING. Mother Earth/Pacha Mama gives us all we need to live. That’s why in many traditions they still live this knowledge that we are obligated to serve Mother Earth as well. The Andean culture does it through offerings, in return for everything what Pacha Mama/Mother Earth is giving us.

In August, gifts are given to Mother Earth

Moreover this principle of GIVING and RECEIVING between Mother Earth and each of us can be understood because everyday we receive our food from Mother Earth/Pacha Mama. Nowadays mankind has forgotten to thank Mother Earth. Even in our feeling we don’t thank her. Often the only thing that we offer to Mother Earth/Pacha Mama is simply litter. This is proved by the contamination of the four elements, air, earth, fire and water. Without the offerings we have forgotten to establish this harmony between man and Mother Earth. That’s where the imbalance and disharmony of Mother Earth comes from. For the Andean world Earth is in severe danger, and therefore we are too. This is evident to science and to us too, if we think it more rationally.

And we ask ourselves: Which gateways exist for mankind to live again this tie with Mother Earth/Pacha Mama?

So, if we rely on the knowledge of the Andean Tradition that will be when humans will have re-established this principle of GIVING and RECEIVING with Mother Earth. Then man will be capable of recovering and understanding his own nature, because a real human is part of Earth and Heaven. This means that we have to give more importance to Mother Earth, as to our own body too, which is also earth – where man is obligated to maintain himself healthy, strong, with love, because without the body nothing is real. In this way we will contribute to the re-establishment of the personal balance which will have as a consequence the balance of Mother Earth/Pacha Mama. This also means that we live in a symbiosis with Mother Earth.

The knowledge of the ancestral philosophy of Pacha Mama possessed by the culture of the Andes may serve us as a great support to live in harmony, with more consciousness and to feel the responsibility for the balance between Mother Earth and mankind. Because the Andean culture knows the mysteries of Mother Earth/Pacha Mama and her needs.
